2008 Subaru Tribeca. Today I noticed that the two lights both came on while driving. Later turned the car off, and then on again, the lights went away, and then came on several minutes later. Later turned off and then on again, and the lights didn't come on at all that time. What's happening here?
Actualización:Oh and BTW, I just found out that the cruise control gets disabled when this happens.

It's a known issue with Subaru brake light sensors, believe it or not! When the brake light sensor gets stuck or sticky due to age-related corrosion, it will trigger these warning lights. Your car is a 2008, so it's a bit old and this part has had a bit of time to corrode over the years. The sensor is located right inside the cabin, attached to the brake pedal. You can replace it, or probably more likely use some WD-40 to loosen it up. It likely happens in the winter when the interior of the car (carpets, floor mats) starts releasing moisture within the cabin when you park in an indoor parking spot and it gets a chance to warm up a bit.
Worry about it when the ABS and TC lights stay ON.
You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor in one of the front wheels. Get the wheel bearings checked for play. That often causes the lights you have to come on intermittently.
Get the ABS codes read to determine which wheel speed senor is bad. An OBD code reader will not work to pull ABS codes. You need a mechanics scan tool.
Your CAT is going bad, same thing happened to me.
Eventually they will both stay on and your cruise and 4 WD will be disabled (for the safety of the planet / not you). I'll never buy another Subaroo!
