Many european countries use 5 or 6 digit postal codes. but the phrase 'zip code' generally refers to american postal codes. if you need an example of a US postal (zip) code, I always use 90210 - beverly hills (a couple of web sites that I have been on require a valid US 'zip code' before they will let you view the site - the parochial b*ggers :-)

99999 This zip is for people outside the USA when ordering stuff off the internet and it won't let you because you have not filled in the Zip code.
Just put in 99999 and you can carry on with the order.
