My neighbor has stuck a portable basketball hoop on the side of his yard right next to mine and now all these kids - his and neighborhood kids, are out there playing for hours and hours every day in the street. The noise of the dribbling of 4 or 5 balls and the constant hitting of the board and rim is loud and annoying and there is nowhere I can even go in my house to get away from this repetitive noise. My house is very close to the street. The police say it is not illegal for them to play in the street in front of my house all day. Why is this even legal? Is there anything I can do? They will only come out and stop it if it goes on past 10 pm. And I don't need any comments about how I am an old grump. This would annoy me at any age.
