Whenever I try to run Half-Life 2 - or any of the products that have 'half-life 2' as part of their name - a little error window pops up and says:
Launcher Error
Failed to load the launcher DLL:
The specified procedure could not be found.
I've located the 'launcher.dll' in the Half-Life 2 files, so I KNOW that it's in there. I've tried re-installing Half-Life 2, and I even tried uninstalling Steam and reinstalling it AND HL2.
This is really irritating me, and I would absolutely LOVE it if someone were able to help me with this.

I personally can't help you but you should go to http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/ it's steams official forums. If you post the question there you'll get a answer in minutes.
I did however find a little advice from a google search:
"remove the half-life 2 folder not the gfc files. (if you dont want to delete it move it to some where else and restart steam and then launch half-life 2 :8 "
If you want to download Half-Life 2 you can download it here for free: http://bitly.com/1p0Etjk
You will have to complete several missions from the first time you start it, but all of them with the intention of saving the world.
I love it!
Did you reinstall the sound driver from the HP site?
