Straight up, no interference, both in armour with their signature swords and other weapons, who wins, Jamie Lannister from the Game of Thrones series or Aragorn from Lord of the Rings?
I like Aragorn a lot, but I think Jaime would destroy him.
Actualización:**Sorry, forgot to mention. This is clearly pre-Storm of Swords Jaime. He has both hands. And great points Kelly, about the opponents Aragorn has faced

Before or after A Storm of Swords? Obviously, if this battle is occurring after A Storm of Swords, Aragorn would win. Jaimie may have developed honor, but he's lost other important aspects of being a swordsman.
Aragorn took on Ring Wraiths, orcs and Uruk-hai. I don't think Jaimie's faced anything of the kind. That's one for Aragorn.
As a character in Song of Ice and Fire, fashion is more important than swordplay, so another one goes to Aragorn.
Aragorn's had to fight for what he wants and believes in every step of the way. Jaimie's a Lannister. he's only had to fight his way through his own family. Another point for Aragorn.
There is little information given of a blow-by-blow nature in the Lord of the Rings books. Aragorn's actual fighting ability is not clear. Jamie's prowess is clear. He's wicked with a blade. Point for Jaimie.
I like them both. Jaimie, post Storm of Swords, even more than Aragorn. I know him better. Given all the points in Aragorn's favor, and that Aragorn, by nature, would be fighting for the good guys, I'd be rooting for him. However, I'd likely place a bet on Jaimie :)
Jaime lannister. There is no clear definition of how good aragorn is, while Jaime is clearly spelled out as one of the best. Jaime, pre ASOS has no honor, and in a battle, that could actually be a good thing. Also, at the time, he was a villian. If he was evil enough to stab Jory through the eye and kill his cousin, that gives him an edge over honorable Aragorn. Plus, A song of Fire and ice takes places in a time period like the late middle ages, while lord of the rings takes place in an early middle ages sort. That means that Jaime would have superior armour. That's why I would go with Jaime.
Aragorn wins this with ease. He's has blatantly superhuman levels of strength and endurance. He has more experience in battle than Jaime and Barristan Selmy combined. I would give Aragorn favorable odds against any warrior from the ASOIAF universe, including those superior to Jaime.
Jaime has one hand, so Aragorn by far
I beg to differ, Aragorn would be the clear victor.
