Poll : Longest time spent on Instant Messaging ?
I've done nearly 7 hours on skype and just this morning 5 hours on IM :)

I think a little over an hour. IM is funny because people on the other end sort of wander off and take a long time in between replies......... don't tell anyone but that makes me a little impatient!!!
Don't bother too much about it although stayed in contact with a group for over 3 hours. Gave it away as my bloody fingers nearly dropped off. Now I send the old fashion smoke signals. So look out your window as see if you can see my message among the clouds.
I usually get in about 20 or 30 minutes maybe two or three times a week. But, I don't IM much. Too many people don't understand the importance of creating a public and private key pair.
I don't know about "instant messaging"
but the longest time I've spent on a computer was THIRTY (30) HOURS
I was ABSOLUTELY BUGGERED by the end of it and I slept for 12 hours
Around 10 hours on IM :)
I used to spend hours and hours on the IM, chatting with my man...these days, I never log in. Don't even have it installed on my computer anymore, lol. My man and I text like crazy though :)
mm about 8 hours on msn yesterday! this morning 4 hours on skype!

never used skype what that is but on messenger aon msn spent hours on that around 10 years ago

only about 40 or 45 minutes for me on IM. not saying it could never happen, though.
