Today at school a girl fainted. I was the first to notice so I went there to help her and tried to lift her head. A guy, maybe a senior who looked like he knew everything, screamed at me not to touch and laid her slowly on the ground again until she wake up, screamed the she could have injured herself and I might have worsen it (how?). Anyway, he was so upset he kept screaming at me, I know him, he is usually a calm guy, so much that I got up and let him do everything. When the girl woke up she immediately wanted to get up (exactly what I wanted to do) but he told her to lay down and not to get up. He also asked her some questions and she told him she didn't know what happened and she saw some green spots before everything went black. He eventually let her to get up slowly and helped her while I stayed there like nothing. Everyone even the teachers, complimented him on how he behaved, he also added that he learned everything cause he plays soccer and knows how head injuries and concussions work. I just got so mad cause he treated me so bad as if I was hurting her on purpose. Later on the girl kept asking about him while I was the first to help her.

What that guy did was exactly correct .In addition he should have sprinkled some ice water.
next time take off all her clothes.
I'm sorry you thought you were helping and it back fired on you.
First you reach for the pulse. Read up on first aid.
We all make mistakes and that is how we learn but don't stress about it.
Don't worry about it and don't let it effect your self esteem. People tend to get erratic when they see someone else having fainted or in some critical condition. Don't take it personally. Unless you are First Aid qualified or have some knowledge on it, next time don't attempt to touch the person physically, just call either the ambulance or call whatever first aid professional is on site and that's it.
Because she could of injured her neck on her way down or from the impact. The last thing you want to do is move that person's head at your own will if they have a neck injury.
