My mate 'Nobby' is as thick as the day is long. but he always has a big stupid grin on his gormless face.
He has no idea what's going on around him, politics, religion and philosphy are just 'fancy' words to him... and Simon Cowell must be clever, because he doen't live in a 'council house'.
Shouldn't we all be like 'Nobby'...?

I think stupid people get hammered a lot more in life, and come to much more grief. They can't figure out the job market, or how to get ahead, or why the market fluctuates. They can't figure out when to go along with culture and when to stand against it. They are doomed to repeat all the mistakes commonly made, because they walk the common paths. They don't learn from those around them, or from reading, or from thinking deeply. They have to make all their own mistakes, and sometimes even then they don't learn.
Consequently they face more unemployment, they are more likely to be divorced, to be arrested, to suffer from low pay and job insecurity. They have no clue about nutrition and so don't live healthy lives, and so suffer more physically. They are easily taken in by con artists. They follow the crowd, even over the lemming-like falls from cliffs. What you don't know can definitely slam you.
So I'd say you can be wise and happy, and in fact that is more common.
No. But the most intelligent thing you can do is do not compare with others. Being stupid doesnt make them happidr than you, but being intelligent doesnt make you either. Being happy or not is related to how much of LIFE you learned, to how you face challenges and your day by day, not what you learned at school. I think you should take it easy and stop worrying about happiness. It really comes when you don't expect.
Well ,when I was just intelligence, I was so alone and different. Also I was thinking I was crazy. Also I did cause psychological problems to myself because I was so smart(confusing??).But now that I am brilliant I may not be full of happiness, but I have experiences that stupid(meaning common stupid people) people don't really imagine. The significant thing is that I was able to walk to my own path. Conclusion, yes they are happier, before you own your own mind o_0.
Yes
Hmm..........I for one have a high I.Q and for years reveled in it, college, great intellectual arguments etc etc. I feel drained from all of it and it has GOTTEN ME NOWHERE. I am really taking life as it comes , I still do think somewhat ahead, but I am interested in one thing now, what makes ME happy in life. Those things don't make me happy, they give me high blood pressure. Guess I don't have a concrete answer for you only tell you my own experience. Take what you want out of it and leave the rest.........., fine with me!
Think of it like this: A drunk man is happier than a sober one. Although being intelligent doesn't necessarily mean you're depressed and never happy.
For sure.. ignorance is bliss. Why do you think weed is so popular?
Ignorance is bliss.... truer words have never been spoken.
Well, they have, but you get my point.
Ignorance is bliss I guess
Edit:
Shanna beat me to it! :)
Yes, what you don't know, won't hurt you
