where is the crt/lcd button on an hp pavillion dv2000?
im trying to connect my laptop with a broken screen up to my Aquos tv to test if it still works....for a dell the button is f8 key....on the hp it doesnt say crt/lcd anywhere...anyone know what key it is?

The F8 key tells your laptop to send the screen image to the VGA port on the back of the PC, instead of your broken screen.
If the cable is connected from the VGA port to your TV, then, you have to find out which video input to use on your TV. On mine, I have to choose Video 1, 2,or 3 to get the picture from my laptop.
It's all explained in the TV User Manual. The button is on the Tv Remote.
But, without being able to see anything on the laptop screen, you really need to get it fixed. Then, the above won't matter.
I guess you mean a plain ordinary VGA cable. Any computer store and anyone who sells computer accessories.
