I have Babolat RPM blast and for my next stringing i want to try pro hurricane tour. I heard they are the same. Is that true? If it isnt then whats different about them?
Hello, my son uses the same racket as you do and we were having a similar dilemma. I luckily have a friend who is a stringer for a club and he strung some rackets with both strings for my son and I to test. Contrary to popular belief, I do not believe that they are one and the same. RPM is without a doubt softer than PHT. If you have RPM now, then PHT will give you a little more power in my opinion. Their both polys so they are not that much different, but I'm not really impressed with either of them. I actually would pick Technifibre Black Code or Luxilon Big Banger. Black Code is actually cheaper than both, and is more durable and IMO doesn't lose tension as quick. I am a solid 5.0 player in my local league and the rackets I had strung with RPM seemed to lose tension faster than those with PHT. One with RPM actually broke. I usually use Technifibre Black Codes and next week when I get a restring I'm going back to them.
Only difference is ph tour is yellow. Personally I would use Technifibre black code or solinco tour bite as strings. I've used all 4 strings and black code is by far my favorite. I also have an Aeropro drive but strung at 55 lbs. But for you, ph tour vs rpm blast give you the same spin and power and everything in between. Only difference is the color and that ph tour is cheaper.
