Okay so basically I have a bit of a problem with shoplifting have for years but stopped for ages but got back into it cause of lockdown and stuff. it was mainly always essentials and I made it a rule to only ever take essentials and do it to chain company owned shops, never independent businesses with families etc. I hate being a thief but I would never steal from a friend or a person but that doesn't make it any better I suppose. anyway, I made the stupid mistake of breaking those rules just once put of carelessness, it was 2 tins of redbull let's say. even though it is not alot, I am always a big believer in principle. but anyway I had gotten away with it but I frequent this shop recently and it's not in my area and the shop was locally ran, I just didn't think about at the time because I'm a dick. anyway I went there a few times again and today I went and the owner had stopped me on my way out and started threatening me with no explanation and i asked why and he said for stealing and demanded my name and address. he somehow knew my name already, considering I was a regular and i handed Jim my wallet with money in it and he jusy took my address off my ID and told me to **** off and he would deal with me later. he seemed extremely pissed off and crazy tbh, kinda unpredictable. all my logic points to ig being a scare tactic and he will leave it at thag but the anxiety of him knowing my address is killing me inside. I don't know if I should be worried or not but I am.

Yup, thieves should be worried about the consequences of their actions.
Although you try to justify your targeted theft hotspots, your reasoning is irrational, at best. You see, for EVERYTHING anyone steals, the price of everything else goes up. Merchants who have theives as "customers" do not incur the loss, the other paying customers do. How do you think businesses who have theft are able to stay open? They stay open by raising the prices on everything else to cover the theft.
I am tired of paying for you to be a self entitled kleptomaniac. Cut that chit out.
I hope you are charged and the theft record follows you! You are not stealing from a store. YOU ARE STEALING FROM US ALL!
Grow-up or get
Locked-up!
you mean you didn't get caught for ages, its called kleptomania and is a psychological disorder. Now you have a criminal record and employees will not pick you in a competition for employment. If its true that the employee treated you this way then call the police come clean because he has no right, his job was to hold you until the police arrived and let them gather your information. Don't be stupid and never give your information to anyone except the law.
In my day, if you had a hate crime out against you and were over 18 they would ugg you out badly. If under 18 they would give you until you were 18 to ugg you out. so you might need to win a popularity contest. They may have already poisoned you. If not, run fugitive, which means change name and take a train to a city and go homeless, or try to bond out with mafia war money if you are under 18. but be careful cuz every time you declare a war to get a gig you technically threaten someone. Hope you aren't lying!
Kid, your a$s is gra$s!
Why did you give him an address? You aren't obligated to do f all.
To all those moaning mertles who have a issue with shoplifting you are clearly privileged and rich. What w@nkers yall are.
You are, at best, delusional. You “only” steal from big stores so you don’t hurt families. The big stores than raise their prices because their profit margin suffers due to your shoplifting, and the “families” pay more for products. And the ONLY time you shoplifted other than necessities is this one time when you attempted to steal Red Bull. In what “principle” do you believe, what “principle” do you follow? “I have a bit of a problem and I shoplift more during pandemics” isn’t a principle. Oh, and despite stealing only from big box stores, this particular store WAS an independent. There goes the “only steal from big box stores” principle! Yes, the owner - assuming he has witnesses and/or footage - can (and probably will) have you arrested. Yes, you should be worried. You should be worried about your total lack of honesty in many, many ways. Get caught at Wal-Mart sometimes. Their new policy is to prosecute EVERYONE who shoplifts
.
I DO have to laugh at the "legal advice" you've received. File a Police Report and claim the store owner is stalking you when it's probably 95% that he has video of you shoplifting? Hilarious!
You SHOULD worry about this. A lot. Until the statute of limitations expires on your crime, you can get a knock on the door and be arrested for it. You can also be summarily banned from the property for being a thief or just about anything else. Yes, knowing your address should be a warning that he knows where to send the cops when he decides to make an example of you and perhaps ruin your life in the process.
We have laws for this reason: deter bad people and punish them when they get caught. Welcome to society: learn to tell right from wrong.
You should quit stealing. Your justification doesn’t make it ok.
I stopped when I turned 18. ..only did it 3 times since.. drunk each time
Does he have your ID still? If not, then don't shop there anymore. If he comes around your house call the cops and tell them you think you have a stalker that works at the gas station. You showed him your id when you bought something and he looking at it a long time, now he is coming around your house. You think maybe he is trying to steal your mail to apply for credit cards or something. Of course he will tell the cops you were stealing, he is stalking for identity theft. What do you expect?
More than likely the person that works there doesn't give a rats. He is a minimum wage worker, he can't be bothered with your life.
