Hi,I've installed Ubuntu on an external USB drive and I need to boot it.So I went to BIOS setup utility to set up booting from external USB drive, but I didn't find anything except "USB FDD" and "USB ZIP".I tried both those options, but it didn't boot from it.I've Asus A7V600-X motherboard with Award Software ASUS A7V600-X ACPI BIOS Revision 1002 (copied from CPU-Z).Is there any solution to boot from USB flashdisk/hard drive?I would appreciate any help. Thanks very much in advance.

>Your BIOS has to recognize the drive as a BOOTABLE drive. This means that the USB drivers have to be loaded for the external hard disk. Only certain BIOS's allow booting from an external source like this and they must be listed in the Boot Device section of the BIOS in order to be an active Boot Device.
I could assess the bios to be doubly definite that it does not help the usb hdd boot, and if no longer than attempt to uncover a bios replace for the pc. Most more recent bios's will help this.
