Not really. I have 2 cats, 2 snakes, a betta and some invertebrates. Nobody but the cats need attention. None require a lot of care. The fish is probably the most work but its just a once a week water change/tank clean and since its a 5 gallon tank it doesn't take long.
One of my two certainly does. He's a (just about) walking nightmare. I often think my other hound is maybe being neglected, so much of my time is taken up with her companion just now. And getting worse as he's gradually going off his back legs. Very sad - and costly!
I have one dog that's diabetic and blind, another one that's deaf, another one that's arthritic, four juvenile cats, one mother cat and one rescued stray that's very skittish,, to say they need a lot of care and attention is an understatement.

I have 3 dogs and a cat. So yes. It's a lot of care and attention.
