Yes, if you are signed to a promotion , it is disrespectful to the promoter to attend a rival promoters show, just think about it, even though the Highlanders were not special to Vince, its still disrespectful to show up when your under contract to the man, he pays you at the end of the month, not Dixie Carter
But what if they had family wrestling or if they had friend that was wrestling in the show. This makes no sense.I mean if lets say Derek Jeter or Kobe Bryant was injured. That means they are not playing so why would it be disrespectful to go to watch say the Mets or Dodgers. For one you can use that as a way to scout out wrestlers for the company.I mean even though these people are wrestlers, they are also independent contractors. So if they was in any other type of work that is labeled that then they should go where they want.
Absolutely, Live is better. The only thing that television does better is the play by play commentary for the matches. There have been so many events that took me by surprise live, I wouldn't know where to start, but I'll name a few. For Ring of Honor, the first Show in Houston in April 2009 year where Jerry Lynn beat Nigel McGuinness for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight TItle. The Ring of Honor Show in New York in September when Jim Cornette appeared and announced he was going to be the Booker for Ring of Honor's Television Shows on HD Net. For Ring of Honor, when Samoa Joe helped Kurt Angle win the TNA World Heavyweight Title in the King of the Mountain Match at TNA Slammaversary in June 2009. In addition to that, finding out that I had made reservations at the same hotel as most of the TNA Wrestlers and TNA Knockouts and seeing them, talking to them and getting a lot of autographs for 3 days. Seeing Bubba Ray and D-Von win the TNA World Tag Team Titles from Beer Money and TNA Lockdown last April and seeing Cole Hamels and meeting and talking to Team 3-D. Going to Dragon Gate Shows and meeting and talking to many Dragon Gate Wrestlers. Wrestlemania XXV was disappointing as a whole. The 2 Ring of Honor Shows my brother and I went to before Wrestlemania XXV had better wrestling matches.
Yeah i think so. Thats pretty dumb to wrestle for a promotion then go watch another one. Let me ask you a question, if you worked for ford as a dealer, would it be a good idea to show up to work everyday in a toyota? Same for the highlanders.
I was watching that night. They brought the camera onto him in the audience and introduced him as a professional wrestler, so there was no getting around the fact that he was there, whether he was spying or not. I think WWE tries to ignore TNA as much as possible. (TNA isn't even on their radar anymore.)
