I was looking in the Control Panel under Add or Remove Programs on my computer to see if I could delete some unnecessary items to free up more room on the computer. And came across MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB925672) and I have no idea what it is or what its for. Can some one please explain it to me. But you're going to have to dumb it down for me. Don't send me a whole bunch of stuff I won't understand! And also what will it affect if I delete this program?

It is a Microsoft Update, which I recommend that you keep on your computer.
Microsoft has on it's download page the following text:
"MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) is a complete replacement of MSXML 4.0 and MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). MSXML 4.0 SP2 provides a number of security and bug fixes. For more information about MSXML 4.0 SP2 see the release notes. "
Now in plain english: XML is used when browsing the Internet, within computer software and even within Windows itself. Nowadays it has become a vital part of your system.
Service packs (XML Serivice Pack 2 in this case) contain security updates, fixes for programming errors (i.e. "bugs") and enhancements to the original product.

I'm having the same problem. Found my root directory littered with temp directories containing msxml4-KB927978-enu files this morning. Looks like Microsoft has screwed up their active update but haven't latched on to it yet. Or worst, don't know how to fix it.... Sorry I don't have a solution for you, but hopefully this will lend some weight (:
