What pole should I buy?
Want to spend less than £200 and need a pole about 11m - 12.5m. I have seen the Maver Blue Vega, Avanti 12.5m GTR Carbon 1250 pole and the Oxygen 12.5m Commercial Carp pole. Are these any good? Preferably one with a few extra top kits? Thanks in advance :)

What ever you buy, try it first. Any tackle dealer worth his salt will let you assemble a pole and sit down with it to see whether it feels right. Most poles have more than one extra top kit and many are suitable for both general coarse and carp fishing. I would suggest you do not go for the very long poles (16 metres) you may never use it at that length. Be careful if someone suggests to you that you can get a second hand pole that is better and longer than a new pole. If you have a breakage (with a fairly old pole) you may not be able to get a new spare section to replace the broken one. I will not comment on the poles that you quote as what I like, you may not. Silstar have been around a long time and produce some good gear these days. They are all pretty good though nowadays. Theres a lot to choose from but I can recommend this one.
