Well there is not a little scale than a byte properly sayed (but ther is a bit that is the minimum informatic expression and represented as 0 or 1, there must have 8 bits to get a byte, so a byte has 8 bits), the single unit is the byte (8 bits) and could have a value from 0 to 255. The scale must go as it is show,
Byte, KiloByte (KB, 1024 Bytes), MegaByte (MB, 1024 KB), GigaByte (GB, 1024 MB), TeraByte (TB, 1024 GB), PetaByte (PB, 1024 TB), ExaByte (EB, 1024 PB), ZettaByte (ZB, 1024 EB), and so on, this is because the greek prefix added to the beggining of the word byte, but insted of beeing 1000, should be 1024 because the byte is a base 2 numeric system. And ours its a 10 based numeric system, thats why its not 1000 for every scale, instead its 1024.
